Holden out for the replacement engine for ECOTEC?
This engine - commonly referred to as the Global V6 - is the replacement for the tried and true ECOTEC V6 engine that has served Holden so well for so long. We’ll first get to see it in the soon-to-be-released VZ Commodore. The project to replace the ECOTEC engine started five years ago in 1999 for Holden Australia, which was selected to take part in the engine production, based on the remarkable successes the Aussies had shown with design and build in the past.
